The Body Doesn’t Survive Because It’s Monitored

The human body doesn’t survive because a doctor watches over it, nor because a researcher breaks it down into biological markers. It survives because it has internal self-regulating systems of a precision that medicine often only observes after the fact.

Blood sugar, blood pressure, hunger, satiety, body temperature, inflammation, energy storage, recovery, sleep, mood, libido, digestion: none of these are controlled by an app, a blood test, or a universal protocol. They are all governed by the body itself.

The modern problem is that we want to measure every signal before even understanding the terrain that produces these signals. We try to fix fatigue with magnesium, cravings with willpower, weight gain with calories, anxiety with a method, inflammation with a supplement. But a dysregulated body doesn’t always lack a product. It often lacks a coherent nutritional, nervous, and metabolic environment.

Listening to Your Body Isn’t Enough When the Signal Is Distorted

Popular belief says: “listen to your body.” That’s already a mistake. A dysregulated body sends poor signals. A brain unstable under dopamine, chronically stressed by cortisol, suffering digestive inflammation, or experiencing blood sugar fluctuations does not send reliable messages. It demands sugar, salt, industrial fats, stimulants, comfort, compensation. This is not intuition. It is disturbed neurochemistry.

The real question is not to listen to yourself, but to understand how your body functions when you stop sabotaging it. This is where the neuroprofile becomes central. A dopamine-driven brain does not react like one more sensitive to acetylcholine, serotonin, or GABA. Some profiles seek intensity, novelty, competition, heavy loads, and challenge. Others need stability, repetition, safety, long recovery, and predictable signals.

Ideal nutrition cannot be separated from the nervous system that receives it. The same meal can stabilize one person and overwhelm another. The same training can liberate one profile and completely drain another.

Markers Are Traces, Not the Whole Body

Modern medicine loves markers because they give an illusion of control. Ferritin, vitamin D, B12, blood sugar, cholesterol, CRP, TSH, cortisol, insulin: these data can be useful, but they are never the body. They are traces. Consequences. Partial snapshots of a permanent biological movement.

A doctor who mechanically says “you are deficient in this, take that” before understanding your diet, sleep, stress, activity level, digestion, nervous system, and metabolic context is not treating an organism. They are correcting a line on a chart.

Yet the body constantly compensates. It redistributes minerals, modifies hunger, adjusts energy expenditure, raises or lowers temperature, slows some functions, accelerates others, changes water retention, modulates appetite, protects the brain, protects organs, sometimes sacrifices performance, libido, or muscle mass to maintain survival. The symptom is not always the enemy. It can be a compensation strategy.

Insulin, Cortisol, Leptin, Ghrelin: The Brutality of the System

This is where insulin, cortisol, leptin, and ghrelin reveal the system’s harshness. Insulin doesn’t just make you gain weight: it organizes energy entry, storage, glucose availability, and substrate management. Cortisol isn’t just the stress hormone: it mobilizes energy when the body perceives a threat, real or metabolic. Leptin isn’t just the satiety hormone: it informs the brain about reserve status and energy security. Ghrelin isn’t just about hunger: it prepares the body to seek energy.

When nutrition is incoherent, when intake is poor in animal proteins, useful fats, salt, and bioavailable micronutrients, when sleep is unstable and training doesn’t respect the brain, these hormones don’t malfunction by chance. They respond to an absurd environment. The body doesn’t act randomly. It does what it can with what it’s given.

Putting Things Back in Order

The solution isn’t to despise medicine or refuse tests when necessary. The solution is to put things back in order. First, understand your brain. Then align your diet with your real physiology. Then let the body work.

A clean, well-managed carnivore or low-carb diet, rich in dense animal foods, complete proteins, appropriate fats, salt, organ meats if tolerated, simple and body-readable foods, already removes a massive amount of metabolic noise. When this noise disappears, hunger becomes clearer, satiety more stable, energy less chaotic, recovery more interpretable, symptoms easier to understand.

If problems persist despite this deep alignment, then further investigation becomes relevant. But looking before letting the body function is like analyzing a machine while still fueling it with the wrong fuel.

Your body knows far more than your mind. It knows more than dietary trends. It often knows more than the person looking at your numbers without seeing your life. The real question is simple: do you want to keep correcting symptoms, or finally create the conditions for your body to do its job?

Measuring Doesn’t Replace Understanding

Measurement becomes valuable when it confirms a hypothesis built from the terrain. It becomes poor when it replaces observation. An isolated number can falsely reassure or unnecessarily worry. Ferritin, TSH, LDL, blood sugar, or CRP never speak alone. They speak within a body that sleeps or doesn’t, digests or ferments, trains or exhausts, eats dense or fills up, lives under cortisol or finds calm.

That’s why the first step isn’t always to add. It’s often to remove: remove foods that confuse hunger, remove liquid sugar, remove industrial oils, remove snacking, remove excess stimulation, remove poorly timed exercise, remove unnecessary supplements. When noise decreases, the body becomes more readable. Only then do markers become smarter.

In this logic, the carnivore diet isn’t an extreme stance. It’s sometimes a method of simplification. Fewer foods, fewer variables, less fermentation, fewer blood sugar spikes, more animal proteins, more satiety, clearer signals. It’s not an end in itself for everyone. It’s a tool to reveal what the body was already saying beneath the noise.

And what if the most useful medicine sometimes began by creating the conditions for the body to stop compensating and finally show its true function?
